When A & K had to postpone their wedding an entire year out due to Covid they still wanted to celebrate somehow. I was free because I was supposed to be shooting their wedding haha, and they asked me to do a shoot with them on their would-have-been wedding date. I thought it was such a romantic and optimistic way of preserving their original wedding date. It's so easy (and absolutely okay at times) to let ourselves get down during these dark days, but it's so very important to remember that everything is temporary, and that nothin' can stop the loveeee baby. Cheers to these two. I can't wait to shoot their day in 2021!

My partner and I had booked Mattie to photograph our August 2020 wedding, and after talking with her a couple times during our planning process we were really excited to work with her because she was so communicative, kind, and clearly had a lot of great experience. When COVID happened and we had to reschedule, she was very flexible with us. We decided to do an engagement shoot with Mattie on the original date of our wedding as one way to recognize that day, and we're so glad we did--it was a super fun morning trekking through the forest and chatting with Mattie about our story. She put us both at ease in front of the camera, which is not a place either us has a lot of experience with, and the photos really capture us perfectly!
