I discovered Loloma Lodge years ago through my two best friends who were married there. It's truly a magical place down in McKenzie Bridge, Oregon right alongside the river, tucked beneath the trees. The owner of Loloma, Wallis, is an absolute gem and puts an admirable amount of  time and consideration into every single event and her guests. Shae and Carl's wedding was an absolute dream. They are the sweetest most easy-going couple who loves the outdoors. Right up my alley. Carl is a fly-fisherman and spent the morning of their wedding fishing in the river. How perfect is that? Enjoy these highlights from their day!

"Mattie was the first vendor we hired for our wedding (and engagement photos*) and one of our favorites! In the planning phases, she was always quick to respond, and every time we chatted she seemed invested in US. It was very clear that she wasn't just going to show up and shoot photos. She wanted to know about us, what looked we were going for, what we were going to wear, what style photos we liked, etc.. She also somehow managing to ease stresses/nerves about planning in general, and this carried through to the day of! Mattie was so great at reminding us that our wedding day was all about us, and we could do whatever the hell we wanted. I loved that she wasn’t posing us left and right for photos (the candids are some of my absolute favorites), and if we were every actin’ clueless, her recommendations for poses were things that didn’t feel super unnatural. *I’d highly encourage you to hire Mattie for engagement photos if you're hiring her to shoot your wedding as well. Meeting/working with her ahead of time made the wedding day more fun (and made us more comfortable being photographed, which usually, we hate). TLDR: Mattie is super creative, talented, and fun. Hire her. You won’t be disappointed."
